The first poem I uploaded is my Humanity I poem. This is one of my favorite poems I have written thus far. I put a lot of effort into this poem, along with a lot of emotion. Out of all the poems I have written, this one is the one I am most proud of. I hope you enjoy it

Snow
Snow,
It is the essence,
Of the wonderful winter,
It defines all that winter is,
Snow.
White,
The color of snow,
You think of white,
You’ll think of a thick sheet of wonderfully white,
Snow.
Falling,
The snow is falling,
The glistening crystals fall,
Slow and peacefully,
Creating a thick, shiny blanket of white,
Snow.
Shine,
The shining sea of snow,
That consumes the crust of the earth,
Leaving no green grass peeking out,
Shines under the bright moonlight,
Making a dark night bright with,
Snow.
Unique,
Every snowflake is unique,
Though our diminutive eyes tell us,
It’s only snow, it’s all the same,
Yet there is so much more to it,
It represent us as humanity,
All individuals,
Different in our own ways,
Just like,
Snow.

When I was little
When I was little,
I hid under tables.
Hiding from trouble,
Trouble caused by my own mischievous ways.
Now, there is no running from trouble,
For I am to big.
When I was little,
I never wanted to sleep.
I was constantly wired,
Always having energy.
Now, as I have matured and aged,
I crave sleep,
I am constantly exhausted and physically drained.
When I was little,
I was scared of heights,
Always in fear of what could happen while I was so high up.
Now, I fear height no more,
I realized that there is no reason to be scared.
I have become more real.
Realizing that I am no longer so little,
Things are not the same,
Everything is changing…Things were so simple…
When I was little.
I hid under tables.
Hiding from trouble,
Trouble caused by my own mischievous ways.
Now, there is no running from trouble,
For I am to big.
When I was little,

4 Ways To Look at Pete
1- The early dim mornings, when I look into your beady eyes.
Staring at me with such wonder and innocence. I watch as you gaze blankly into my eyes, bright glossy eyes. I can easily see the mutual respect and caring for one another.
2- From when I arrive home late at night from football practice. The excitement and joy as you sprint towards me, vigorously swinging your tail back and forth. It’s obvious you remember the exact time when I arrive home, because you’re always waiting at the door for me knowing I will be home soon.
3- When you show me your sad eyes and depressing face, because you got into trouble, or you just missed me. When I see your gloomy face I come to comfort you, and you see me and you get so excited, and the sadness seems to just seep away.
4- The anger in your face when someone else is touching me, or harming me. You get furious, and start to growl angrily. The instant hatred you feel for the person touching me, because you want my attention all for yourself. It’s clear you have an abundant amount of love for me, because you get upset with me when I give any of my regards to others.
Do not fret though, you are my pet, and my best friend. There will always be love there, even though I show my affection to another dog, you are my number one amigo. Thank you for being so great Pete.
